National Instruments cDAQ-SV1101 Sound and Vibration Measurement
The National Instruments cDAQ-SV1101 (Part Number: 865664-01) Bundle is a high-precision sound and vibration measurement system designed to provide portable, USB-based data acquisition of sensor signals. This complete package consists of the NI-9234 four-channel sound and vibration input module and the NI cDAQ-9171 one-slot CompactDAQ chassis, which provide high-fidelity signal acquisition for applications such as condition monitoring, structural analysis and acoustic testing.
The NI-9234 module provides four simultaneously sampled analog inputs with 24-bit resolution, with sampling rates up to 51.2 kS/s, per channel. Each channel can be configured for AC or DC coupling, and IEPE signal conditioning makes the module ideal for connecting to a variety of sensors, including accelerometers, microphones, tachometers and proximity probes. Its inherent anti-aliasing filtering adapts to the sample rate, and dynamic responses permit accurate representation of waveform information over a range of input frequencies. With a ±5 V input range and 102 dB dynamic range, the NI-9234 will record quality data in even the most demanding test and measurement environments.
The NI cDAQ-9171 chassis is a portable, bus-powered USB data acquisition carrier which permits direct connection to a PC for real-time monitoring and recording. Characterized by high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity, 50 ppm timing accuracy and synchronization with other CompactDAQ modules, this chassis has mechanical safeguards and designs ensuring stable responses in industrial or laboratory environments with a resistance to operational shock of up to 30 g and vibrations up to 0.3 grms.
When used with NI FlexLogger or LabVIEW software, the cDAQ-SV1101 can be used for easy configuration, advanced signal analysis and data recording in TDMS or CSV formats. Its 'plug-and-play' style makes it ideal for diagnosis of machine conditions, vibration analysis, modal testing, acoustic characterization etc. It presents engineers with a stable portable measurement platform designed for the test environments which will exist in practice.
